What is a defective product?

Defective Products:

A defective product is one that causes injury or death in the course of its normal use. A manufacturer or seller can be held liable for placing a defective product in the hands of a consumer.

What types of defects are there?

There are design defects, manufacturing defects and marketing defects. A design defect is inherent in the product. A manufacturing defect occurs during the course of the product’s assembly. A marketing defect concerns the way a product is marketed such as improper labeling, insufficient instructions or inadequate safety warnings.

What should I do if I have been hurt by a product?

The first thing is to save whatever product has caused you harm. Only then can the manufacturer information be ascertained. You or your family should then consult an attorney as soon as possible.
